About Marcela

Born and raised in Colombia, South America, Marcela early in life developed a strong connection with international settings and interest in languages, cultures, and different societies. The permanent change in global economic scenarios, world trade agreements and market shifts that tend to repeat in times of inflation and deflation, inspired her to travel the world, speak different languages, study abroad and work in different countries. Marcela has 25 years of experience in sales and business development, in countries like India, Colombia, and the United States. Her love for mathematics and very analytical, detailed, decision-making and negotiation skills have allowed her to be recognized and chosen among hundreds to participate in executive management programs and develop projects for high-level executives.

Building a home and relocating twice in the U.S. contributed to her becoming very familiar with the processes of purchasing property and achieving the American dream of owning a place called home from which she developed a strong connection with real estate. She is determined to contribute back to the society for all her achievements by helping and guiding others in reaching their real estate goals whether they are buying, selling, relocating, remodeling, repairing, or seeking finance and insurance.

Outside of real estate, Marcela enjoys staging & decorating her home for every single holiday there is, playing the piano, exercising, and dancing.

Marcela holds a BA in Economics from la Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia, a MIR from La Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and Diplomat Certificate in International Business. She’s married to Tom for over 20 years, mother of her daughter Angelina and her doggie Stich and cat Finley.

Marcela currently holds a Real Estate License in the state of North Carolina
