About Ian

From one-on-one interviews with Jane Goodall, Sting and B.B King to web content development, Ian Malinow has thrived in the journalism and content marketing arenas for over two decades, working as a journalist for the now-defunct The San Juan Star, the only daily English newspaper in Puerto Rico, as a stringer for renowned U.S. media outlets, such as the New York Daily News, USA Today and Billboard Magazine, and more recently, as Associate Creative Director to top brands (Verizon Wireless, Walmart and Four Seasons) at Pace Communications in Greensboro, NC. Though a bilingual writer by trade, his experience developing successful professional relationships with public relations and marketing agencies, media outlets and high-level business executives led him to dive into real estate in his native island of Puerto Rico, where he founded Malinow Brokerage Inc., a real estate firm that specialized in residential sales of properties located in the capital city of San Juan. Bitten by the real estate bug again in Greensboro, Ian joined local, boutique real estate firm, Patsy Arriaga & Associates, known for its passionate focus on customer service. Ian holds a B.A. in political science from Loyola University in New Orleans and an M.A. in criminal justice from Inter-American University in San Juan, PR. He’s married to Adriana, and is dad to Noah and Erik. He enjoys traveling, surfing, road cycling, MTB, racquetball, hiking/camping, music, historic homes and developing content through his independent venture, goblined.com.
